The K-ON! Movie (Once Again), and Some Other Updates

I know this is the THIRD post that I’ve made (to be fair, the first one didn’t really count) about the K-ON! movie, but I guess this just goes to show how much I care about it.

It is, after all, THE movie release I’ve cared most about since…..I dunno….Disappearance. The official website of the K-ON! movie has been recently updated to show the synopsis of the upcoming film. For those of you who can read Japanese (and I can’t, for my life), you can click over to where it says “INTRODUCTION” to the left, and read the synopsis.

It should be obvious from the main page where my main point here is, though.

The K-ON! Movie! (Again)

So this was released a while ago, but I only felt like sharing this just now. It doesn’t really matter, since release day is still many months away.

Pardon the low quality, but this is the only resolution that could be found.

I am pumped. I will admit that openly. Although this “teaser” reveals absolutely nothing about the plotline of the movie, It does show that it takes place during their high school years, somewhere in between seasons 1 and 2. Well, perhaps this is something to look forward to. After all, the “college days” mangas are not fully completed yet.

Once again, airing date for K-ON! movie is December 3, 2011. If you lucky enough to be in Japan for the release, then you have my eternal envy. If not, and like me, you are stuck waiting until DVDs are out, (which is probably another six months)…well that just sucks, doesn’t it?

Speaking of anime movies, I am reminded of the fact that Makoto Shinkai’s Hoshi o Ou Kodomo was aired (in Japan only) last Saturday. I thought that this was the type of film that would air in film festivals around the world, but apparently not. So, once again, I am left twiddling my thumbs until DVD/BD release. A shame, since this is Makoto Shinkai we’re talking about. So if you are, once again, fortunate enough to go and see this in theatres, then go. You will probably not regret it.

Well, enough of my useless griping. Are YOU pumped for the K-ON movie?

Who’s Ready?! K-ON! Movie

Now, I realize that this is a little bit late, and truth to be told, I’m actually not that hyped up yet. Assuming that the movie is based on the manga that is coming out soon, then the source material isn’t even there to dissect and contemplate about. If it’s just a rehash of the two previous seasons….well I hope it’s not, but I bet I’ll love it anyway even if it is. Anyways, as you all know (or you must know by now), I am a huge K-ON! fanboy and any new series/movie/ova that revolves around everyone’s favourite Light Music Club gets me counting down to release day.

As it says in the poster, the release date is December 3, 2011.

But as always, that’s only in Japan. I’ll have fun waiting for a crappy camrip, or at least 6 months for the BD/DVD release.

Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

As many of you may or may not have heard already, on March 11, 2011, a magnitude 8.9 earthquake with its epicentre about 70 miles off the coast of Sendai, Japan hit, causing a tsunami with 4-metre-high waves to crash into the north-eastern coast of Japan, causing widespread damage.

New Makoto Shinkai Movie: “Hoshi o Ou Kodomo”

Well, I certainly can’t believe I missed this trailer coming out, but at least I came across it! It would be a very bad shock if I the movie came out and I didn’t know!

Hoshi o Ou Kodomo, or Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below, is slated for airing in May of 2011.
