Fall 2011 First Impressions Super-Combine!

Continuing with my tradition of featuring every show I watch when a new season starts at least once on this blog, I shall be combining the “first impressions” of each new offering of Fall 2011 in a single post.

Two reasons for this:

One, as I may have ranted or whined about before, IRL stuff have been picking up for me, and it is currently at a point in my life where such things unfortunately take priority over anime and blogging. Blasphemy, I know. However, that’s just how things are, and even though I have tried to make things work, it’s really not that easy. With that said, what to generally take away from this is that I don’t have time to write a seperate post for each show I’m watching. Watching them takes enough time already, blogging each and every one….well I don’t even know how I managed it back in spring.

Two, I’ve looked back on all of the posts I have written since I’ve started this blog. Some decent, some bad, some I just want to delete for ever and ever. But a trend stuck out. No, it’s not the plateauing pageviews (although that too is true) that caught my attention, it’s the format and subject matter for most of my posts. They have all – or nearly all – been episodics. Not that I hated writing episodics. In fact, up until pretty recently, I probably didn’t even know how to write something that wasn’t an episodic.

tl;dr: it’s time for change. I know that line was one of the more cliché one-liners I’ve chosen to insert, but I need to make a point. Episodics will still be in abundance, because habits are hard to break and I wouldn’t want to eliminate them altogether. But I’m thinking of other things. Who knows. It’ll be a surprise.
